I read this book in one session, the 10 inventive short stories that author Slosberg has crafted will have you turning pages like crazy. (What will be the twist on this one?) The collection brings to mind legendary short-story author O. Henry, whose writing is described on Wikipedia as “…naturalist observations, witty narrations, and surprise endings.” Likewise, Slosberg paints a colorful scene, fills it with oddball characters, sprinkles in clever dialog, and provides surprise conclusions with his unexpected zingers. You can (like me) read it in one session or spread it out over 10 longish coffee breaks. Highly recommended to readers and Hollywood deal makers. (PS: my favorite stories were “The Big Kiss” and “Uncle Walt”—both would rack up mega views on Netflix.)

And it only gets better from there! This book is a fantastic and fun read. A great way to spend an afternoon. I read the whole book in just about in one sitting, laughing for much of the time. The stories are unique and instantly drew me in. And, each is so different. These short stories should and will be made into movies or even streaming series. Each story is rich in characters that I wanted to get to know better. I didn't want any of the stories to end - each totally left me wanting more. A strongly advised buy!

Richard SmithGreat book
A great mystery. It brings together history, spy-craft, Nazi-hunting, philately, and romance; along with interesting characters who keep surprising you. A real page-turner!
Alan M.A great mystery. It brings together history
Slosberg has written a good one. It stomps ahead with twists, turns and tumult. Great bedtime reading and a fab film in the making. Hayme Bond I guess.

This book was filled with historical perceptions and intrigue weaving the intensity of horror and the curiosity of what could have been possible. One to be read and discussed.
